Cash prizes for the 2008 competition will be awarded to the winning school from each of the English Regions and Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland at the prize giving ceremony in October. In addition, three overall winners will be appointed.
All prizes are being supported by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
Robin McGill, IET said: “Make IT Happen raises awareness of the excellent work being undertaken in many of the UK’s primary schools to help young people develop an understanding of technology. We are delighted to be supporting the competition this year.”
A cash prize of £1,000 is available for the winning school from each of the English Regions and Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland.
In addition, £4,500, £2,500 and £1,500 will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed schools UK-wide.
Winning schools will be notified and invited to come to Parliament for an awards ceremony.
